Lexi Howard
Lexi was always the little girl dancing around in the kitchen, so her parents decided to enroll her in dance classes. Lexi first fell in love with ballet when she watched A Tale Of The Kingdom for the first time when she was three years old in 2005.
In 2006, at the age of three, she then decided that she wanted to do ballet, and be a ballet teacher. As she grew at Christ in the Arts, she also pursued many other sports but quickly realized how much she loved ballet.
Not only did she love ballet, but she loved Christ in the Arts and the way they taught, bringing Christ into the fundamentals of ballet.
As she grew in her abilities, many physical difficulties arose, but all she wanted was to conquer the goal she had set her mind to do. When she graduated from Kingdom Preparatory Academy in 2021, she didn’t know where to go, but knew she didn’t want to stop pursuing her love for ballet. After some thought, she came to the conclusion that Christ in the Arts is exactly where God was leading her right now.
Lexi not only learned ballet at Christ in the Arts, but also learned what it meant to put your mind to something and never give up. She grew up with a group of friends that are now just like family. She learned more about the Bible and about Jesus through the stories of the productions, and learned more about herself over the years.
Lexi is incredibly grateful for everything Christ in the Arts has meant to her for the past 15 years, and is excited to see where God takes her in the near future. She is beginning her first year of teaching this semester with Bourreé!
Lexi is now attending South Plains College and will continue on to Texas Tech University majoring in Communications while continuing to dance at Christ in the Arts.
Lexi is the instructor for Bourrée and Dégagé.
